It was near this day in 1925 when English producer Alfred Hitchcock released his first ever film, The Pleasure Garden. Hitchcock directed more than fifty feature films in a career spanning six decades. He remains one of the best-known and most popular filmmakers of all time, pioneering many techniques in the suspense and psychological thriller genres.
