I was born in 1980 in the center of East Slovakia. My grandfather was a landscape architect, and an ardent anti-Communist; the reason why he was sentenced to eight years of hard labor at a uranium mine. My parents divorced when I was 4 and since, I moved to live with my mother.
I followed my parents sport’s accomplishments and turned pro at age 14, soon becoming the youngest player to win several first class tournaments in my sporting field. For three consecutive years I was ranked #1 in the world and have been twice rated among FHM magazine's 100 sexiest women.
On the court, I am renowned for my tactical approach to the game and technical skill using a variety of shots to keep opponents off-balance.
By the end of 2000 I had accumulated career winnings of $15 million. This was before injury forced me to temporarily withdraw from professional competitions for several years. Later in 2005 during my comeback, I climbed as high as #6 in the world rankings and won three titles.
Now, at age 27, I have announced my retirement amidst allegations of drug use at a top class tournament this year. So from now on I will be back riding my favorite horses; Montana, Sorrenta and Velvet.
